Talk about a headache
at 4:25 a.m. on 2005-04-30
I had a little misshap on the ambulance last week. Nothing big. Doesn't involve the patient so no worries. I was treating a patient with chest pain. It was not cardiac related, I checked. The person was fine, so it was alright when I made an ass of myself. I have a nickname of Grace due to my ability to be so graceful. Ha yeah right. I was reaching over the patient to pull of the leads to my cardiac monitor and stood up to put them away. I rammed my head into the roof of the ambulance. Thud!!! I did it hard enough to make myself dizzy. My field trainer just looked at me with that, "You got to be kidding me. You didn't just do that," look. The thunk was so loud that the other EMT that was driving heard it. "Was that your head?!" was all he could get out while laughing. I just sat back down blushing like mad and continued on with what I was doing. Talk about embarrasing. I got teased about it for the rest of the night till my trainer did the same thing. At least I was not the only goof there.
