Two down... at 3:43 a.m. on 2005-04-30 2nd week down of my internship. Doing better. Still too timid on scene and with patients. Slow progress but it still progress. I should have gotten more experience out there before I went into paramedic school in the first place. Only myself to blame. I just have not seen enough. I rode with a different Feild Trainer on Thursday. Went ok. Gave me a chance to see a different perspective and different style of doing things. Before I left he told me,"enough with the small voice, next week bring in the lion's roar." It just sounded funny to me, and I got a good laugh from it, but I understood what he was telling me. I had one of my most hectic nights that night. 9 calls with 10 patients in a 11 hour shift. We had to come in a little early due to the fact that the field trainer was also a supervisor and had meetings and paperwork to do. I didn't mind I was dragging butt tired. |
