Muddy tires

Didn't get any really good calls for the dirt bike races, which is good for the riders. Only a dislocated shoulder and possible wrist fracture. They may not seem minor, but they are when you consider what could of happened if you landed on your neck after flying off your bike on a 20 foot jump.
I got to say there is nothing like doing your job while getting pelted in the head with mud. They were golf ball sized dirt clods raining down like hail from the track. I looked like Pig Pen by the end of the day. I'm still pulling mud out of my hair. My partner got it worst. He caught a clump in his mouth. Yum. Better him than me. I also got to off road the ambulance through the course on the calls. It was pure enjoyment for me to splash through the mud and take every lump a pot hole on the way. I think I scared my partner a little bit though. Oops. I know for a fact I know what I'm doing, but he doesn't. Also I'm usually quiet and a little reserved when I first work with someone I don't know. That didn't last long today. A motto of mine and my normal partner,is when it comes to going to a call when someone might be seriously hurt " It's my job to get you there. It's your job to hold on."
