I just got back from an emergency trip to California to see my grandmother in the hospital.
She's dying. She has internal bleeding with some of her intestine dead. They offered her a surgery to cut all the dead parts out to save her life be she has said no. The doctors say that she has days to weeks but no more than a month.
She knows it will be a slow and painful process to die this way, but nothing can sway her to change her mind. I think she is just against of having surgery of any kind. She has made up her mind and we are respecting her wishes even if we don't agree.
I'm going to go back to work this week and let my boss know that when I get the call I'll be leaving again for the funeral
