I brought my cat over from my parents yesterday. He couldn't stay there anymore. He's truely a one owner cat and he has never warmed up to anyone else. I left him at my parents when I moved out because he's such a timid and easily frightened kitty. At least there he's familiar with everyone and everything or so I thought. My parents have turned my old room into an office. Since they took out my bed and all my stuff my scent is no longer there and poor Noah was completely lost after that. I got a call a couple of days ago from my father saying that if I didn't take Noah that he would have him put to sleep. That is not an empty threat coming from my dad. He means it and has done it in the past to another pet of mine. Unfortunately I couldn't do anything about it since I still lived at home and I ended up losing someone I loved very much over something that I do not feel was worth the outcome. I still have not forgiven him for it. Some people have no regaurd for life. Somehow they think it is less valuable because it isn't human. Feh...
Noah is adjusting right now and is doing alright. He still hides under the pillows which is rather cute, but is coming out and checking things out on his own now. The hard part is going to be adjusting to the dog. Bailey is going to be the problem since he wants to play with the cat and Noah does not play. Bailey used to be able to rump around with C, my former roommate's cat. So that's what he wants to do now but can't. Noah is too old and not a social animal what so ever. It is going to take a while and be a pain in the butt, but it sure is a hell of a lot better then having him killed because he missed me.
