Someone turn on another fan! at 3:18 p.m. on 2004-07-23 It's been 2 months since I have written. I guess I spoke too soon when I said I had finally gotten time to write. Not so true. Many times I didn't have the time, the others I forgot or didn't feel like it. I really haven't been very sociable. I just have not wanted to talk to anyone and have wanted to be left alone. While I'm in class all I get are instructors watching my every move and breathing down my neck. I do senario after senario, critique after critique and by the end of the day my attention is shot and really don't want to deal with anyone. Luckily I only have one more week of school and then I take my exit exam and my county protocal test to recieve my temperary paramedics certification. The A/C is broken in the house and it hasn't been helping my less than pleasant mood. It's been out for almost 2 weeks now. One, cause nobody wants to talk to the landlord, and two, cause the A/C guy did not show up. Bastard! When it's 90 degrees inside the house it's miserable and I end up getting crumpy and short tempered with people. I don't mean to be a Biotch, I just feel like crud from roasting to death all day. A friend made a suprised visit from California yesterday. I took her and her friends to Studio 54 in the MGM. I am poor as all hell, but ladies are free at that club so it was no big deal. No one really bought drinks because they completely rip you off on prices there. One of the girls actually bought a couple of tiny liquior bottles before we went so that she could sneak them in and drink without having to pay outragous prices. Clever girl. I generally get a little tipsy before even going and take a cab there and back or have a designated driver drive. I don't understand why anyone would pay 8 or 9 dollars a drink. Last night all I got was a water. No alcohol for me. I was driving that night. One friend's wedding is next week and I get to be a pretty pretty bridesmaid. Her bachelorette party is not going to be what we had first thought. She has some people coming in from back east and the bride doesn't think that they would enjoy Chippendals. So we are settling for a comedy club and dinner. Phewy!!! :P Ok I'm dying in this stuffy hot ass house and the pool is calling to me. Ta ta for now |
