This week at 7:57 p.m. on 2004-03-27 I spent the last two days in the Labor and Delivery part of the hospital. I think I have gotten my fill of babies. They are were all completely adorable. I was terrified to pick them up at first. So tiny. Got used to it after I had gotten to my umteenth babe. I got caught up in most of the deliveries. I noticed myself breathing and pushing right along with them. Got a little light headed a couple of times. None of the moms-to-be minded I was there. I think they were just happy I was not a guy. I did very well on all of my midterms. Whew! Glad that is finally over. We are also planning a class field trip to the Coroner's Office. I'm not easily grossed out, but I'm not sure if I will be able to actually handle it. Our teacher was telling us about a group he had taken there before. Only 1 out of 8 survived the day. Stories like that tend to make you worry a little. I'll let everyone know if I actually make it or not. My friend Ness talked me into seeing the movie Dawn of the Dead with her. Not really the kind of movie I care for but she managed to convience me somehow. I she hadn't. Scared the snot out of me. I screamed bloody murder at one point but so did a few other people so I didn't feel so silly. Ness thought it was the funniest thing to see me with my hands over my ears and me peering from between my fingers. The dang movie gave me nightmares about rotting zombies trying to rip me apart all freaking night long. She owes me big for that one. While were are on the subject of creepy. I got really spooked last night. In the middle of the night I got awoken by a very loud and long "OOOOOOOOOOOOOHH" that sounded quite paniced. I thought it was Ray calling out from a nightmare at first, but when I asked if he was alright he said "It's not me" and the noise ended just shortly after. Ray thought it might have been the dog having a nightmare or something. All I know is that is sounded like it was coming from our room and it sounded very much like a human male not a dog. I have never heard a dog make that kind of a noise. Then again maybe it was the dog, but I don't know for certain what the heck really made that sound last night. |
