New Years 2004 at 12:38 p.m. on 2004-01-02 I finally turned in my fire application. The human resources building is a pain to get to, but I made it. Ness went with me, and one of the gentlemen there was trying to persuade her to fill out an application too. She joked about having to hold to many papers, the guy said something about her needing something else in her hands, and my thought process took a turn on that one. I think we threw they guy for loop on our comments, but that's alright. We were not the only one's who were snickering. Ok, New Years turned out to be a good night over all, despite a few rough spots here and there. I got some great pictures that night. I have Greg blowing fireballs, which I hope turn out. Also, some of the girls and I took some other great pictures, but those are going to be just for my and Ness's eyes only. I got all the ladies to pose for a huge group photo, but all the guys, except for Ray and lunchbox, ranaway. What's with the guys being camera shy? Ray had way too much. I have never seen anyone be so happy, while being so ill. He even posed for a picture for one of the Oregon boys while in the restroom. None the less, Ray was still pleasently toasted when he woke up in the morning. One of the downfalls was one of the ladies that came to the party was busy standing off by herself, while looking down her nose at everyone. If we were too much for her she didn't need to come in the first place. Nothing that was a big deal, but it did annoy some of our guests, including myself. While I was in the back with Ray, one guys said something that was out of line to Ness. I wasn't there, but one of the Oregon boys stood up for her and got him to be silent for the rest of the night. Don't talk sh*t another person's home. Karma got back at him though. It seems he had an allergy to beer and ate a beer soaked sausage. The only problem is that he decided to splatter paint one of our walls. Greg found it amusing, but he also agreed to paint it since it is stained. The friends the guy came with apologized for him and said he was too dunk to know better. I don't find that to be an excuse, but I'm not mad at the people he came with. Not their fault, and we are willing to give the guy a second chance, but if he gets rude again he's not welcome at our house. I think Ray is a little bit more forgiving than me. Than again, he wasn't outside comforting a crying Vanessa. I'm just protective of my friends. I'll take the abuse, but you mess with a friend and my temper is all but gone. The night ended with Ness, Greg, our niegbor, and myself sitting around talking. Everyone finally went to bed at 5am. I hope everyone had a happy ney year. bye for now |
