Christmas for 2003

The New Year is almost here. My boyfriend and roomies are planning on having a little get-together at our place. The new year is best spent with good friends, even though a lot of them have to work New Year's Eve. They are still going to show up after they get off work. No one is going to go to bed until the sun comes up.
It was a good Christmas this year. It rained all day, but I don't think anyone minded. It would have been nicer had it been cold enough for snow. Ray and I had x-mas dinner at noon with my parents. My mother had to work so everything had to be earlier than normal. They cooked way too much food. There is still tons of left overs. Ray piged out and fell asleep on the couch for a bit, and my dad and I drank some hot buttered rum drink. With a bartender for a dad, the drinks are always good. After Ray woke up we left my parent's and we said hello to Maddy and her family for a bit. Then we went and saw "The Last Samuri" with our roomies. Great film. The night ended with everyone just crashing out after the movie.
I got some nice presents and a decent amount of money for x-mas. I went out and treated myself yesterday. I got a CD that I have been wanting and went by a place called Ulta 3 for makeup. While in the mall I saw that one of the booths was doing free ear piercings. I thought what the heck and got my ears pierced once again. I have a total of nine earings now. After that I grabbed Vanessa and got my nose pierced. It's just a little stud, but it looks good. It hurt like hell. I usually don't flinch and at most just utter "Ow," but I wanted to jump from my seat for that one. The guy said," take a deep breath and relax," the he stuck me and I white knuckled the chair, about crushed Vanessa hand and yelped a bit. The guy just laughed," that's not your relaxed face." I like the stud, but I would never do that again. Vanessa and I went by the store afterwards and got some Malibu rum and pineapple juice, then we went back to my place. We had some drinks, laughed and told stories. We watched "Scar Face" and zonked out.
Today I'm off to my parents again and we'll see how long it taked then to notice the jewelry in my nose.
