To my dissapointment it looks like there is going to be no speedway. Damn. Oh well, their loss. However, I have been working conventions again, which means I'm actually getting paid. A definate good thing.
I got offered a hostess position at the Bellegio, but I turned it down. I will be going back to Southwest Ambulance in July so there really was no point to get another job for only 3 months. I was definately tempted though. I mean who wouldn't like to make $12 an hour plus tips with full benifits, but I had to think of my career goals and it just so happens hosting is not a part of it. This just means that I'll be bugging the nice lady in schedualing to get me more shifts to work.
I also hurt myself this week. No surprise. Have you ever noticed that you never realize how often you use a certain body part till it is hurt? I did a number on my little toe on my right foot, and it has been hell on earth for me the past several days. I came around a corner in my house and cliped my toe on a ladder that was laying on the floor. Talk about searing pain. I have never hopped on one foot so fast in my life. My toe was bleeding and throbbing. At first I thought I had broke it, but I noticed that I can still wiggle it, so thankfully there's no fracture. Of course I had to wear boots the next day to a convention. Not pleastant. I was Miss Hobbles that day. It sucked.
Oh, I worked at the Sands Expo today. Usually your by yourself at the Sands, but there was a girl for AMR there today. It was nice to have someone to chat with to pass the time. She made me so jealous. After the Sands gig today she was going to work the Audio Slave concert at the Joint in the Hard Rock. Geez. Not only does she get to go see a great concert, but she was going to be paid to go. Why can't I ever get a cool gig like that. I'm missing out.
Well it's getting late and I'm only working off of 3 hours of sleep from last night, so it is definatley my bed time.
